    LEFT leg: green flag on tibia (upper) above nothing/unknown on tarsus
    RIGHT leg: nothing/unknown on tibia (upper) above nothing/unknown on tarsus

    AWSG: This bird was flagged in Brisbane region (Australia), approximate co-ordinates 27deg 20min S, 153deg 10min E, which uses the flag combination Green, sometime since 1991.
    The resighting was a distance of approximately 7569 km, with a bearing of 337 degrees, from the marking location. This bird was a female.

    Presumably both banded by the south Korean Environmental Research Institute.

April 24, Okku Mangyeung

  • A Far Eastern Curlew Numenius madagascariensis was sighted by NM at Okku Mangyeung, 35deg 50min 0sec N, 126deg 45min 0sec E on 24/04/01 with flag(s) as follows:
    LEFT leg: nothing/unknown on tibia (upper) above nothing/unknown on tarsus.
    RIGHT leg: white flag on tibia (upper) above orange flag on tarsus.

    This bird was flagged in Korean Peninsula, approximate co-ordinates 36deg 0min N, 126deg 40min E, which uses the flag combination White/Orange, sometime since 1998.
