Details of a day trip to Ganghwa Island, July 27 2002
Tim Allison
Having arrived at Ganghwa bus terminal, I boarded a bus to Chondungsa, where I disembarked and walked in a large loop around the southeastern part of the island. This hike took about 6.5 hours.
Conditions were clear, sunny, and hot, which generated a lot of haze over the tidal flats, making identification of distant shorebirds difficult, and resulted in a very uncomfortable sunburn.
